THE SPACE // is an independent exhibition concept and cultural project within a curated format initiated by the artist Sarice Brudet. Beyond the exhibitions, the objective is to create a space for thought, art mediation and foster dialogs and interdisciplinary connections. The focus lies on community and humanity as a practice.

From 2022 until the end of 2025 the off-locations and exhibition spaces were part of the program Frei_Fläche: Raum für kreative Zwischennutzung by the Kreativgesellschaft Hamburg and the Fonds für kreative Zwischennutzung. For more information please visit:
The exhibition “The Art of Border Sabotage - Echoes from the Edges” (05.06. - 18.07.2026), the production and installation of the artworks, the venue costs, as well as the accompanying public program and the exhibition extension, are made possible through the generous support of the Hamburg Ministry of Culture and Media, the Claussen-Simon Foundation, the Körber Foundation, Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft, and the Triennale of Photography Hamburg.
The exhibition concept is not sustainable without cultural funding and the help of foundations.
